DELIVERY

Where do you deliver to?

All our boxes can be delivered to any mainland UK address.

    What are your delivery charges?

    Standard UK Delivery is £3.99 flat fee per delivery address, per order. 

    When will my box arrive?

    We aim to despatch all Standard UK Delivery orders within 1-3 working days. With Royal Mail delivery itself taking another 1-3 days.

    Can I select my delivery date?

    Yes you can select your preferred delivery date before Checkout, in your Cart section.

    Please note, we are not able to offer Sunday delivery as standard.

    Is my delivery date guaranteed?

    We send most orders via the Royal Mail 24 or 48 Tracked service. As such, delivery date is expected but not guaranteed as there are still some delays in service due to COVID-19. There could also be a small delivery delay around December.

    What happens if no one is home?

    Our boxes are well insulated, ensuring any chilled ingredients will stay fresh for up to 36 hours after we pack. If we are hand-delivering to you (within London only), we will leave your BakesterBox on your doorstep. 

    ​If you have missed your delivery from a third-party courier, and your box subsequently sits in a local delivery office for a second night, we recommend you contact us immediately to advise. Please note that only BigBoxes, Lemon Drizzle and Cream Tea kits contain chilled ingredients. 

    If you are sending a BakesterBox containing chilled ingredients as a gift  (particularly Cinnamon Buns, Cardamom Buns and the Cream Tea kits) please  ensure the recipient is home to accept the parcel. We will send you the tracking code once the parcel is despatched.  

     

    BAKING KIT CONTENTS

    ARE THE BAKING KITS SUITED FOR ANY BAKING LEVEL?

    We have designed our baking kits to be suitable for a range of baking abilities, and have graded each kit as 'Easy', 'Intermediate' or 'Advanced'. Our step-by-step instructions are provided in print and via online tutorials, to guide you through the baking process and ensure your bakes are a success!

    WILL I RECEIVE CHILLED INGREDIENTS, AND EGGS?!

    You can if you select our Large kits - these contain chilled ingredients and neatly packaged eggs, thermally insulated with Pluumo. Our Standard kits contain dry and ambient ingredients only, and you'll need to add your own butter/milk/eggs as instructed.  

    WILL I NEED ANY EXTRA EQUIPMENT?

    This will depend from bake to bake, but you will mostly likely need mixing bowl and spoons at least - and an oven too! Each box will include a list of extra recommended equipment needed.

    PACKAGING

    IS YOUR PACKAGING ALL RECYCLABLE?

    Our packaging is either recyclable, biodegradable or compostable.

    The 'plastic' used to package most of our Dry Ingredients in is fact made from NatureFlex™. NatureFlex™ is a 100% home compostable film made from cellulose, derived from sustainable wood pulp. Our Eggs are packaged with cardboard and wood wool, made of wood slivers cut from logs.

    Most liquid items are packaged in either a glass bottle or a 3 ply leak proof plastic. These pouches are recyclable.

    Our Vanilla Extract and Vegetable Oil are packaged in mini glass bottles and PET bottles, respectively. Both materials are highly recyclable in the UK.

    Our Butter is wrapped in 100% biodegradable greaseproof paper.

    Equipment-wise, our Piping Bags are biodegradable, degrading within 18-24 months when discarded in landfill.

    HOW ARE MY CHILLED ITEMS PACKAGED?

    Chilled products are insulated in your box using Pluumo, sustainable packaging made from surplus feathers.
